Our Community Center

The Lane County 542 Event Center is a wonderful, historical building located near the center of Dighton.  The Event Center is available to the community to host your special events and celebrations and is perfect for gatherings and get-togethers. Lane County Eco Devo/Chamber also utilizes the building for the many community events they put on throughout the year for our residents. Thanks to many Lane County members, the event center was able to be purchased through personal donations. 

The building was named after Lynn Schriock, a generous, lifetime resident of Lane County.  He spent his entire adult life as a volunteer for both the Dighton and Lane County Fire Departments. He gave back tremendously to this county both financially and personally and the 542 represents Lynn’s firefighter badge number.  The Lane County 542 Event Center is owned and operated by Lane County Community Foundation. There are future plans to restore the building and bring it back to former glory.
